The HydroPICC® and HydroMID® catheters, cleared by the FDA, use MIMIX® technology. This technology helps cut down on some of the biggest problems that come with vascular access, like thrombosis and occlusions. By preventing these issues, healthcare providers can reduce costs related to complications.

James Biggins, the CEO of Access Vascular, emphasized their goal to enhance vascular access for patients. He expressed pride in collaborating with Recon Supply to ensure military personnel receive top-notch vascular care.

By joining forces with Recon Supply, Access Vascular’s products are now easier for agencies like the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and the Dept. of Defense to obtain. This partnership simplifies how these agencies can help their patients.

Steve Clark, CEO of Recon Supply, noted that offering advanced medical technologies to federal healthcare is central to their mission. He believes that AVI’s innovative catheter solutions will significantly reduce the complication rates often experienced with vascular access devices, which currently stand at around 25%.

Recent studies show Access Vascular’s catheters have 99.99% less bacterial adhesion compared to traditional options. Moreover, they demonstrate six times fewer failures than standard polyurethane catheters, indicating a 98% success rate for completing therapy with HydroMID®.
