The Donegal Local Development CLG and the Donegal Local Community Development Committee invite interest from projects aimed at reducing environmental harm, building climate resilience, and empowering rural communities.
To qualify, applicants must be within the DLDC catchment area, excluding Inishowen, the Gaeltacht, and the Islands.
This funding under the 2023-2027 LEADER Programme supports community and private initiatives. It falls under the Sustainable Development of the Rural Environment and Climate Change Mitigation theme. Each project can receive funding for up to 75% of total costs.
Past projects illustrate the impact of this funding. For instance, The Bee Pods in Rossnowlagh received €19,692 for climate action measures. De Vaux Earth Ltd was granted €8,865 for a survey of a constructed wetland in Raphoe. These projects show how funding can lead to real, positive changes in local communities.
