Unlock History: Discover LEGO’s Newest Kit That Brings Science to Life!

LEGO has unveiled an exciting new set that celebrates the journey of scientific discovery. Called The Evolution of STEM, this 879-piece kit is set to launch on March 1, 2025. Although it’s designed to educate and inspire kids, it’s recommended for ages 18 and up due to its complexity.

This unique LEGO set features key milestones in science, including the discovery of DNA, the NASA Voyager probe, and the invention of the personal computer. There’s even an apple tree, paying homage to Isaac Newton and his law of gravity.

The set also includes minifigures of famous scientists like Marie Curie, known for her work on radioactivity, and George Washington Carver, an agricultural pioneer who developed numerous uses for peanuts and improved crop rotation methods.

LEGO describes the set as “an inspiring science gift for everyone interested in history.” One fun feature is the rotating DNA helix, which can be turned using a dial at its base. The entire setup appears to emerge from an open book, symbolizing the flow of knowledge.

When completed, The Evolution of STEM stands 27 cm tall, 23 cm wide, and 19 cm deep, making it a striking display piece.

This kit is part of the LEGO Ideas platform, which allows fans to submit their own designs. The creator, Daniel Bradley, a trainee accountant, said, “I wanted to create a set that reflects the limitless potential of knowledge.” Initially crafted for a 2023 competition, his original design has evolved, but the theme of knowledge bursting from a book remains strong.

While The Evolution of STEM is listed on LEGO’s website, it isn’t available for pre-order just yet. Mark your calendars for its release on March 1, 2025!
