According to Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, “Copilot Vision can literally see what you see on screen… It’ll think out loud with you when you’re browsing online.” This seamless interaction aims to eliminate the hassle of copy-pasting or endlessly trying to describe what you want help with.
However, Copilot Vision doesn’t support every website. It can’t access pages with adult content or those requiring a login. If you try to use it on an unsupported site, you’ll get a grayed-out icon, indicating that it can’t assist with that content.
User privacy is also a priority. Microsoft ensures that your requests or the images you view aren’t stored. Only Copilot’s responses are logged, and this data is deleted after each session.
Trying out Copilot Vision is straightforward. If you have Microsoft Edge and an account, simply enable the feature through the sidebar. Click on the microphone icon to start a conversation with Copilot. It can analyze not just what’s visible but the entire page. In initial tests, users reported technical glitches, but these seem to have been resolved, making it ready for everyday use.
