Unlock Your Best Self: Join the SCV Chamber’s 6th Annual Health & Wellness Forum on Lifestyle Medicine!

The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its 6th Annual Health & Wellness Forum on October 23rd at 8:00 a.m. This year’s theme centers on lifestyle medicine, aiming to help professionals improve their health and productivity amidst their busy lives.

Dr. Regina Ragasa, a specialist in Family, Lifestyle, and Obesity Medicine, will lead the event with insights on how to weave lifestyle medicine into our daily routines. She’ll focus on practical ways to enhance resilience and long-term success. Joining her will be an expert panel, featuring Dr. James S. Lee, a cardiologist from UCLA Health, and Russel Gage, Fitness Director at Henry Mayo Fitness and Health. They’ll share cutting-edge thoughts on health and wellness.

Di Thompson, Chair of the SCV Chamber Board, emphasizes the importance of prioritizing health. “As leaders, we often forget about our well-being. This forum aims to change that perspective. A healthy team is key to business success.”

The format of the forum is designed to be engaging and interactive. Attendees will benefit from actionable strategies that support both mental and physical health, helping them find balance in today’s fast-paced work environment. Ivan Volschenk, President/CEO of the SCV Chamber, stresses that the success of any business is closely linked to the health and vitality of its team members.

Kaiser Permanente is the Title Sponsor for this year’s forum and additional sponsorship opportunities are still open for businesses willing to foster workplace health.

The forum is open to all business community members, and registration is available on the Chamber’s website under the Events tab.

Recent studies show that lifestyle interventions can significantly lower healthcare costs, reduce absenteeism, and improve overall job satisfaction. A 2020 survey found that 77% of employees believe their physical health directly impacts their job performance. This reinforces the need for discussions about health in professional settings.

In conclusion, the Health & Wellness Forum represents an opportunity for professionals to reflect on the importance of their health while pursuing success in their careers. By investing in health, both individuals and businesses stand to gain.
