The Penticton Home and Reno Show is back for its 29th year! Hosted by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association South Okanagan, this annual event will take place at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre this Saturday and Sunday.
You can visit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and until 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is just $5 at the door, and if you’re lucky, you could win a $2,000 prize package from Skyview Closets and Blinds.
What can you expect? Around 95 vendors will showcase everything related to home building, decorating, and renovating across 140 booths. Executive officer Carly Rantall shared, “This event has been growing for 29 years. We have participants from Kelowna to Penticton, and even from the Lower Mainland and Nelson.”
You’ll find everything your home needs, from roofing to electronics. The City of Penticton and the regional district will have booths, along with several non-profit organizations.
One fun feature of the show is the contest for Penticton’s ugliest shed. Attendees can vote, and the winner will receive a $5,000 materials package from Home Hardware. Out of numerous submissions, three finalists have been chosen!
The event is also family-friendly. Kids can enjoy a free bouncy castle, a coloring area, and fun games.
If you’re visiting on Sunday and feeling hungry, grab an extra $5 for lunch! Smokies will be served between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with proceeds going to the South Okanagan Women in Need Society.
