Join us for the Cornell Cooperative Extension Food Systems curriculum! This program is perfect for anyone involved in New York State’s food system, whether you work in agriculture, youth development, public health, or related areas. It’s also great for those looking to expand their skills.
This online curriculum, offered through eCornell, consists of ten modules. Each module dives into various topics, including urban agriculture, land access, food policy, and workforce regulations. You’ll get valuable insights from campus researchers and CCE staff through videos and resources that highlight important programs.
Throughout your learning journey, you’ll reflect on what you learn and how it applies to your work. You’ll also create a plan to improve your programs and build better relationships in the community. This experience encourages networking with other stakeholders, further strengthening our food systems.
Participation costs $175. If you’re interested, you can apply through this link. Remember that applications close two weeks before each cohort starts. The spring cohort runs from March 17 to May 18, meeting virtually on Mondays at 1 PM. The fall cohort meets from September 12 to November 14 on Fridays at 9 AM. You’ll hear back about your application within a week of the closing date.
If you have any questions, reach out to Vicki Giarratano or Laura Biasillo at their respective emails. We look forward to helping you enhance your knowledge and skills in food systems!
