Pace University recently hosted its Fall 2025 Job and Internship Career Fair, a bustling event that brought together students and over 100 employers from various industries. Hundreds of students, many from the university’s Lower Manhattan campus, took advantage of this opportunity to network and explore potential career paths.
Companies at the fair included big names like Deloitte, Johnson & Johnson, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. To prepare for the fair, Career Services arranged workshops to help students polish their resumes, refine their elevator pitches, and engage with recruiters more effectively.
“Our aim is to empower students to seize opportunities that lead to internships or career launches,” said Phyllis Mooney, assistant vice president of Career Services. “These fairs are a culmination of weeks of preparation, boosting students’ confidence and readiness.”
The effectiveness of Pace’s Career Services is clear. Over 9,000 internships and job placements were secured last year alone, showcasing a robust connection between students and employers. The Class of 2024 had an impressive 95% rate of employment or further education within six months of graduation. This success is not just anecdotal; data reveals that Pace graduates earn, on average, $75,098 for bachelor’s degrees and even more for master’s degrees, with employment rates consistently outpacing the national average by 10 percentage points.
“Even as a freshman, I knew networking was crucial,” said David McClain, a Cybersecurity major. “The fair was a great place to practice. I’m committed to returning for more opportunities.”
In the broader context of the job market, experts note that the demand for skilled workers continues to rise. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, certain sectors, particularly technology and healthcare, are expected to see significant growth over the next decade. This trend highlights the importance of events like Pace’s career fair, where students can align their education with industry needs.
Feedback from students highlighted a positive atmosphere at the fair. Graduate students Harriet Fiakpa and Angella Stephano, both focused on research careers in biotech, expressed enthusiasm about meeting employers directly. “We found roles that truly align with our research goals,” they said.
Pace not only focuses on student success but also aims to ensure that employers find highly qualified candidates. The university’s partnerships with renowned companies like Amazon, Meta, and JPMorgan Chase create a competitive edge for students entering the job market.
Since its founding in 1906, Pace University has dedicated itself to enhancing the lives and careers of its diverse student body. Today, with around 13,600 students across its multiple campuses, Pace continues to shine as a leader in career development and student success, adapting to the evolving landscape of education and employment.
