The scholarship offers $10,000 each year for up to four years. To keep the scholarship, students need to promise to teach in Indiana for at least five years after graduation. If they don’t follow through, they must repay part of the funds they received.

This program helps students afford their education while also addressing the need for more teachers in Indiana. Educators who choose to teach in the state will help shape the future of local students and the community.

Eligibility requirements for the scholarship include:

  • Graduating from an Indiana-accredited high school or a non-accredited nonpublic school.
  • Ranking in the top 20% of their graduating class, having a top 20% score on the ACT or SAT, or maintaining a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

The application for the 2024-2025 school year can be found online at ScholarTrack. The deadline is January 31, 2025, and applicants will hear back about their status by April 2025. Plus, a new law passed in 2023 allows more students to receive the scholarship, with the amount increased to $10,000.

If you are passionate about teaching and want to make a difference in Indiana, consider applying for this scholarship. It’s a fantastic way to kickstart your teaching career and have a positive impact on the lives of students.
