On Wednesday, Google unveiled an exciting new AI feature for the Shopping tab. This tool helps you find clothing by letting you describe what you’re looking for in your own words. They are also growing their AR beauty and virtual try-on options.

The feature, called “Vision Match,” is now live for mobile users in the U.S. It works like this: if you imagine a specific piece of clothing, you can type that description into the search bar. The AI will then present suggestions and matching items you can buy.
To try it out, simply enter your idea in the search bar. Then look for the “Can’t find it? Create it” option or find “Create & Shop” in the left panel of the Shopping tab.
Previously, Vision Match was tested in Google Labs throughout 2023.
Along with the new feature, Google also introduced an update for its AR beauty tool. Now, you can try multiple makeup items at once. U.S. users can experiment with different lipsticks, mascaras, and eyeliners from brands like E.L.F., Fenty, and Glossier.
To explore the AR beauty tool, mobile users can search for a look, such as “soft glam.” Then, they can click “See the looks on you” and “Try it on” for a virtual makeover with various colors and products.
Google is also improving its virtual try-on options, which started in 2023. Now, you can see how different brands’ pants or skirts look on models in a wide range of sizes, from XXS to XXL.
Since adding generative AI to Search in 2023, Google has actively improved its Shopping features. Last year, they included an AI summary in the search results, giving users helpful tips when buying products, like advice on choosing a winter jacket.
