Culturally relevant services are available, emphasizing support from an indigenous and Pasifika perspective. This includes individual therapy and workshops in collaboration with other campus partners. Students can register for free, confidential therapy services online.
For student-athletes, dedicated mental health support is available through the Athletic Department’s Rainbow Wellness program. Counseling can be accessed in person or through telehealth, without the need for a referral.
The Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership (VITAL) program partners with the Department of Veterans Affairs to assist student veterans in achieving their academic and career goals. Student veterans eligible for VA healthcare can schedule appointments with mental health professionals through VA Video Connect.
Additionally, the Alcohol and Drug Education Program (ADEP) helps students make informed choices regarding substance use. Through the Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students (BASICS), personalized interventions are available for students confronting these issues.
UH Mānoa students also have access to online self-help resources via Therapy Assistance Online (TAO), providing engaging, evidence-based mental health content. This service is free and completely anonymous.
