Unlocking Climate and Nature Resilience: Your Essential Guide to a Sustainable Portfolio Transition

The CNTP is an exciting step forward for sustainability. It aligns with respected global standards like the Transition Plan Taskforce Disclosure Framework and the International Sustainability Standards Board’s Sustainability Disclosure Standards.

Recently, the Group has made significant strides in cutting carbon emissions—over 20% since 2019. This focus on reducing carbon will now extend to addressing nature-related issues, which is crucial as we face more environmental challenges.

A recent scan in 2024 highlighted the importance of understanding our impact on nature. We identified risks like supply chain disruptions and challenges related to water scarcity exacerbated by climate change. Being aware of these risks helps us to adapt and plan effectively.

Water management is one area where we are making tangible improvements. We are enhancing our water efficiency and practices, which has led to a noticeable decrease in water usage in our managed areas from FY23 to FY24.

To tackle climate risks scientifically, we developed a Climate Value at Risk (CVaR) platform. This tool assesses our exposure to both physical and transition climate risks, enabling us to plan better and make informed investment decisions.

Our sustainability journey is data-driven. We focus on geographical factors and market conditions to identify where we can reduce emissions. This includes increasing our reliance on renewable energy and cutting down on embodied carbon.

As of FY24, we’ve installed 46.8 MW of solar panels. Way over half of our properties are either green-certified or working towards certification, lowering energy costs and boosting resilience for everyone who occupies these spaces.

Stay tuned as we continue refining our CNTP on our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) path. For more details on Frasers Property’s CNTP and their recent initiatives, you can find them here and check the press release here.
