LEGO Education has introduced LEGO Education Science, a fresh resource aimed at enhancing science education for kids aged 5-14.
This program will feature over 120 lessons that align with educational standards in the USA, and it’s set to launch in August 2025.
Science Education Challenges
A recent survey by LEGO Education, called the State of Classroom Engagement Report: Science Edition, highlighted some key issues in science education. It found that 45% of students consider science their least favorite subject, labeling it as “too hard.” Many also feel they are “bad at it,” with 58% of these students being girls. This points to a notable gender gap in STEM.
Additionally, 73% of science teachers feel unprepared to engage their students. Access to hands-on learning is limited, with only 55% of students globally experiencing such opportunities in science classes.
About LEGO Education Science
LEGO Education Science seeks to address these challenges by promoting hands-on learning. It includes LEGO bricks, hardware, and a comprehensive Teacher Portal, complete with lesson plans and presentations. The lessons are designed to align with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and can easily fit into existing curricula.
Victor Saeijs, President of LEGO Education, emphasized the importance of encouraging curiosity in science education. He believes that if students feel discouraged, we risk losing future innovators and problem-solvers. LEGO Education shares a commitment to inspiring students in their science journeys.

This innovative program will be available globally starting August 2025.
