Microsoft is making Notepad smarter by adding AI-powered summaries. Users will be able to highlight text, right-click, and select "Summarize" to get a quick overview. This new feature is rolling out to Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels.
You can also create summaries using the shortcut Ctrl + M or via the Copilot menu. However, to use these AI tools, you need a Microsoft account. If you’re not a fan of the AI features, there’s an option to turn them off in the app settings.
