Unlocking India’s Future: Join IILM University’s Three-Day IEA Conference on Viksit Bharat 2047!

The 108th Annual International Conference of the Indian Economic Association (IEA) wrapped up at IILM University in Greater Noida, India. This year’s theme was “India’s Approach to Viksit Bharat @2047: Perspective of Emerging Global Complexities and Realities.”

Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, the Hon’ble Governor, attended as the Chief Guest. He stressed the importance of discussions like this one for shaping India’s policies and achieving a global outlook. He expressed optimism that India could emerge as the world’s third-largest economy, driven by a strong digital economy and a vibrant startup culture. His vision focuses on inclusivity, resonating with the mantra “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.”

The conference also honored Dr. Kanta Prasad with a Lifetime Achievement Award, celebrating his significant contributions to economic scholarship. The gathering included 52 speakers and featured 74 research papers across various sessions, delving into pressing issues like financial reforms, agricultural development, digital technology, and global trade impacts.

The dialogue was timely, considering recent trends. For instance, the World Bank reports that India’s economy is expected to grow at around 6.9% in 2023, which leads discussions on sustainable growth amid global uncertainties. Participants highlighted the challenges of regional imbalances and pushed for inclusive growth strategies that benefit everyone.

The event also included cultural performances, enriching the academic atmosphere. As discussions ended, there was a consensus on the need for reforms in finance and agriculture, and the importance of policies tailored to states’ specific needs.

In summary, this conference depicted a strong commitment to economic progress in India, reinforcing the need for informed dialogue and collaborative efforts towards national development.
