Unlocking Insights: Join Tom Snyder at RIoT’s State of the Region to Navigate Economic Changes Together

Since 2018, RIoT has hosted a State of the Region address every year. This event looks at how North Carolina is doing in tech development and the data economy. RIoT is all about helping businesses use technology, data, and analytics to grow. We teach companies how to harness these tools effectively.

If you’re not tracking key data, you risk falling behind your competition. It’s essential to know what data is important in your industry and how to collect and analyze it objectively. This knowledge helps you make informed decisions. Instead of guessing what the market wants, you can focus on meeting real needs with the right solutions.

We collaborate with many businesses, from startups to established firms. Our network includes engineering and business service providers who understand market demands. We also work with technology platform companies involved in areas like edge sensing, wireless networks, and cloud computing. Additionally, we partner with standards organizations and trade associations globally.

These connections allow us to gather significant insights about how North Carolina is performing in current and future industries. Right now, a major focus is the impact of AI across various fields, government, and even our daily lives.

Every year, we share our findings to help local leaders create a strong foundation for tech sector growth. We aim to help business executives stay ahead and enable everyone to better understand our local landscape, including the benefits and challenges we face as other regions compete with us.

We find ourselves in a time filled with uncertainty. How quickly will AI change traditional practices? What will the new administration’s policies in Washington mean for us? There are also questions about cyber threats and data privacy.

This Wednesday at 5 p.m., I invite you to join us for an important discussion as RIoT reviews the data gathered and reflects on 2024 while looking forward to 2025. This year, we’ll be hosted by Raleigh Founded, a key coworking space in Raleigh where industry and tech leaders come together.

Next week, I’ll share a transcript of Wednesday’s event in this column. I hope you can attend in person to ask questions and engage in the discussion.
