HARRISONBURG, VA — James Madison University (JMU) is launching a new program called “AI for Executives.” This three-day course aims to help business and government leaders navigate the fast-evolving world of artificial intelligence.
The program, developed in partnership with Boulevard Consulting Group, offers a comprehensive look at AI’s role in shaping strategies, operations, and workplace culture. Participants will engage in expert-led sessions, real-world case studies, and practical simulations to enhance their understanding and implementation of AI.
Nick Swartz, the dean of JMU’s School of Professional & Continuing Education, emphasizes the importance of AI for modern leaders. He notes, “AI is no longer optional. This program aims to equip executives with the tools for responsible leadership and innovation in today’s AI-driven landscape.”
With the rise of AI, it’s essential to understand its implications. A recent survey by McKinsey reveals that 57% of companies have adopted AI in at least one area of their operations. This trend shows why training is crucial for leaders who must adapt and thrive.
Through this course, leaders can expect to learn how to identify new opportunities, manage potential risks, and implement AI responsibly. Additionally, being informed about AI can significantly impact decision-making, productivity, and the overall success of an organization.
The program will be hosted at JMU’s Washington Center in D.C., with select sessions offered throughout the mid-Atlantic. Enrollment is now open, providing a great opportunity for leaders looking to stay ahead in an AI-driven economy.
