The story centers on Ally, an adventurous piglet squid living in the vast South Pacific. She dreams of seeing the sun and starring in a wildlife documentary. However, her serene life takes a turn when an aircraft mysteriously sinks nearby, endangering her world. To protect her home, Ally embarks on an unforgettable journey to the surface with her quirky friends.
Bong co-wrote the script with Jason Yu, and the film is set to wrap up in 2027. Experts in animation highlight the significance of diverse storytelling in today’s films. For instance, the Animation Guild estimates that films showcasing unique characters and narratives typically see greater success at the box office.
Distribution will be handled by multiple companies. Neon will manage North America, while Pathé takes care of France and other regions. CJ ENM and Penture will distribute the film in several Asian markets.
