Despite a rocky start, Cure managed six catches for 37 yards across nine games. He frequently played as a wide receiver, showcasing his versatility. Coach Collin Klein is optimistic about Cure’s upcoming season. He noted that Cure showed impressive growth, gaining muscle while losing fat, a testament to his hard work.

Among the new additions are transfers from Oklahoma State: Wendell Gregory and Rodney Fields Jr. Gregory, a defensive end, earned recognition as the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year. He’s known for his ability to disrupt plays, with impressive stats from his previous season. Fields, a running back, boasts impressive rushing and receiving stats, showing he can make an impact in multiple ways.
Klein believes in the potential of both players. He appreciates Gregory’s versatility and Fields’ work ethic, particularly noting Fields’ recovery from a recent surgery.
