The company is retiring Copilot Mode, which previously had similar features. Now, the “Browse with Copilot” tool combines these functionalities into one. You’ll get a more streamlined experience.
Other exciting AI features are coming. There’s a “Study and Learn” mode that transforms articles into study sessions or quizzes. You can also turn your tabs into AI-powered podcasts. An AI writing assistant will pop up when you type on a webpage, helping make writing easier.
To enhance Copilot’s answers, you can choose to let it access your browsing history. This will allow the bot to provide more helpful and tailored responses. Copilot will also have “long-term memory,” which means it can remember your past conversations and adjust accordingly.
When you open a new tab, you’ll see a redesigned page. This combines chat, search, and web navigation. There’s also a feature called “Journeys,” which organizes your browsing history into categories, making it easy to revisit content.
For Edge’s mobile app, you’ll soon be able to share your screen with Copilot. It will guide you through questions about what you see. There will be visual cues to let you know when Copilot is active and ready to help.
