Cedar Mill and Bethany Community Libraries are excited to announce new partnerships! They are teaming up with local and national groups to bring more technology programs and events for everyone in the community.

Thanks to a collaboration with American Connection Corps and the Washington County Broadband Action Team, the libraries now offer a Digital Navigator. This service provides personalized tech support by appointment. If you have questions about devices or software, this is a great resource.

The libraries are also joining forces with Meals on Wheels People to offer lectures and workshops from the Senior Planet Curriculum by AARP. These sessions focus on teaching technology skills to older adults eager to learn.

Mark your calendars for some exciting upcoming events! You can look forward to a Google Workspace Lecture, a Google Photos Workshop, and an Introduction to Managing Your Privacy Lecture. Registrations are available on the libraries’ website.

If you prefer a more casual setting, check out Cedar Mill Library’s Open Technology Lab on select Thursdays. You can sit down with tech-savvy volunteers to get help with smartphones, tablets, and computer programs.

“Staying updated with technology can be tough for anyone. We want to make tech knowledge available to everyone. Our programs aim to bridge the tech gap between generations, which is an important role for libraries,” said Erin Bell, the Adult Services Librarian.

All events and services are free and open to the public. Make sure to check the registration requirements for certain events on the library’s site.
