The Diablo IV Public Test Realm (PTR) for version 2.6.0 runs from February 3 to February 10. This is your chance to check out new features before they go live.
During the PTR, you’ll experience changes like the new Killstreak system, unique Bloodied Items, and Bloody Sigils. Your input is crucial, helping to fine-tune balance, fix bugs, and enhance gameplay.

New Play Mechanisms
Killstreak System
The Killstreak system rewards players for quick kills. You’ll gain power and earn rewards by maintaining a streak. Keep an eye on the pop-up tracking your kills.
How It Works:
- Begin a Killstreak by defeating enemies in quick succession.
- Keep the momentum going; the streak can deplete if you don’t kill enough enemies quickly.
You can reach five Killstreak tiers:
- Killstreak
- Carnage
- Devastation
- Bloodbath
- Massacre
At the end of your Killstreak, you’ll gain experience based on the number of creatures you’ve slain and the tier you reached.
Bloodied Items
New Bloodied Items will enhance your Killstreak power. They come with properties based on your current Killstreak tier. You may find Bloodied Items have three types of effects:
- Rampage: Boosts your power based on tiers.
- Feast: Grants combat bonuses tied to kills.
- Hunger: Alters loot drops based on your Killstreak.
Bloodied Sigils
Bloodied Sigils add a new layer of difficulty and reward. They unlock once you’re at Torment I and allow you to confront tougher foes while reaping greater rewards.
Unique Items
You’ll also find new items like the Blood-Mad Idol amulet that offers continuous Berserking at a cost, and the Wendigo Brand ring, which increases damage based on kills. Each new unique item enhances gameplay in its own way, making each encounter feel different.
Preparing for the PTR
You can play in several regions, including North America, Europe, and Australia. The NPC Mrak will assist you in testing with various boosts to help you try out new content.
To join:
- Open the Blizzard Battle.net App.
- Select Diablo IV.
- Choose the Public Test Realm in the game version dropdown.
- Install the PTR client.
