But why is “I will catch you steadily” so popular? One reason could be that it’s a clumsy translation. Some users likened it to the more casual English phrase “I’ve got you.” While the English version sounds effortless, its Chinese counterpart feels wordy and overly dramatic. There are instances where ChatGPT uses the word “catch” in situations where it likely meant “understand,” showing gaps in its contextual understanding.
