Matthew Niessner, a corporate executive chef, shares, “We sprinkle the salt from about 6 to 8 inches above the food. This technique ensures a nice, even coat.” He also emphasizes the importance of keeping your space clean while cooking. Using a plate or pan underneath helps catch any salt that might drop.
