Unprecedented Demand: Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Train Tickets Sell Out in Hours!

The newly launched Vande Bharat Express between Ernakulam and Bengaluru is attracting a lot of attention. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement via video from Varanasi. This train is the third Vande Bharat service for Kerala and will be run by the Southern Railway (SR) zone.

Tickets for this popular route went fast, selling out within hours. According to the IRCTC website, the demand is high, with both the Executive Chair Car and AC Chair Car options already fully booked for the first few days of service.

The train features eight coaches, offering two seating classes: AC Chair Car and Executive AC. For a ride in the AC Chair Car, the ticket price is ₹1,615. If you prefer the Executive Chair Car, it costs ₹2,980.

As for the schedule, train number 26651 will leave Bengaluru at 5:10 AM, arriving in Ernakulam at 1:50 PM. For the return trip, train number 26652 departs Ernakulam at 2:20 PM and reaches Bengaluru at 11:00 PM.

The train travels through scenic routes, making stops at Krishnarajapuram, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Thrissur. This connectivity is expected to boost both tourism and business between Kerala and Karnataka.

Interestingly, similar Vande Bharat services have seen a surge in popularity across India. According to a recent report, Vande Bharat trains recorded over 100 million passengers in 2022 alone, showcasing their growing significance in Indian railways.
