Destiny 2 is gearing up for its newest expansion, *Edge of Fate*, set to drop on **July 15, 2025**. This update will introduce a new location called **Kepler**, a revamped **Armor 3.0 system**, fresh **Dark Matter powers**, and major changes to armor stats and tiers.
Along with new Exotic weapons and armor for each class, there will be significant adjustments to many existing Exotic armor pieces. Bungie has revealed an exciting list of updates, designed to bring old favorites back into play.
Here’s a look at some of the major changes coming to Exotic armor:
For Hunters
- The Dragon’s Shadow: This armor will now boost weapon stability and reduce reload times when you dodge. Also, dodging will reload your equipped weapon, not just holstered ones.
- Speedloader Slacks: Adjustments to the Tight Fit perk mean all weapons will reload upon dodging, boosting handling and reload speed for you and teammates. The more you use your dodge, the stronger your buffs get.
- Mask of Bakris: Effects will now kick in with either an Arc or Stasis Super, and “Light Shift” will grant a 10% damage boost for eligible weapons.
- Khepri’s Sting: Now, when you defeat weakened targets, they explode in a burst of smoke that gives you back some smoke bomb energy.
- Oathkeepers: The damage bonus will increase from 150% to 200%, helping you deliver powerful shots sooner.
For Warlocks
- Starfire Protocol: This will now activate with Radiant damage, and energy gain from Fusion Grenades will see a slight increase.
- Wings of Sacred Dawn: You’ll be harder to hit while Tome of Dawn is active, and Solar weapon final blows will provide health restoration and reload your stored weapons.
- Felwinters Helm: Now, powered melee attacks weaken opponents by 15%.
- Promethium Spurs: Grants class ability energy for weapon kills, creating helpful buffs for you and your teammates.
For Titans
- Crest of Alpha Lupi: Healing pulses will now occur when taking damage behind a barricade. If you heal allies, you’ll also regain barricade energy.
- Phoenix Cradle: When you deal Solar weapon damage in a Sunspot, its duration will extend, and you could create more Sunspots by buffing allies.
- Actium War Rig: This will enhance your Auto Rifle or Machine Gun performance with increased stability and damage.
- Heart of Inmost Light: The melee damage bonus increases significantly, allowing for greater impact in battles.
Overall, these adjustments reflect Bungie’s ongoing commitment to keeping gameplay fresh and engaging. According to a survey by GameSpot, over 70% of players expressed excitement about these changes, with many eager to explore how they will impact team dynamics in various game modes.
