Unveiling GUN NOSE: A Thrilling 3D Pixel Art Action Mystery Game Coming to PC!

Pixel artist and indie game developer Addy Valentine has revealed a new project called GUN NOSE. This 3D pixel art adventure is set to launch on PC and focuses on action, mystery, and intriguing gameplay.

The game’s Kickstarter campaign kicked off with a goal of $35,000. There are also plans for stretch goals totaling $200,000 and $400,000 for PlayStation 4 and Switch versions, respectively. So far, no release date has been announced.

In GUN NOSE, you step into the shoes of Gun Nose, a quirky robot detective with a troubled past. Your main quest? To find your missing creator while delving into a series of murders committed by rogue robots known as Serial Murder-Bots. Each case is unique, featuring different victims, suspects, and clues in every playthrough, keeping gameplay fresh and engaging.

The combat is fast-paced and intense. As you uncover the truth, suspects might unleash Psychic Hacks—ghostly projections that can put you in danger.

You won’t be alone in this mission. Your AI companion, Jiminy Drive, and a cast of eccentric allies will guide you. Together, you’ll set traps, uncover secrets, and tackle the dark conspiracy lurking in Ironwood.

The game’s setting, Ironwood, is a rich, handcrafted pixelated city. Residents carry on with their lives, whether it’s shopping or dealing with other quirky challenges like runaway pets or dinosaur encounters. Each character is carefully designed with backstories and unique routines, making the world feel alive.

As you investigate, you will interact with a variety of colorful characters:

  • Dyna Might – An eager rookie who loves explosives.
  • Slack Ballista – A skeptical officer who may come to respect your detective skills.
  • Virgil – A shady detective looking to offload cases onto you.
  • Commissioner Crane – The tough boss trying to manage the chaos while searching for love.
  • The Gunsmith – Your elusive creator who disappeared.
  • Jiminy Drive – Your loyal AI sidekick with a knack for humor.

The antagonists of the game, the Murder Bots, come with distinctive motives and methods, adding depth to each case. Here’s a peek at a few:

  • Gun-Gut – Greed is its motive, using a syringe-like horn to drain blood.
  • Gun-Eye – It acts out of envy, rolling around and firing from its armored shell.
  • Gun-Tongue – Concealing secrets, it propels itself forward with deadly gunfire.
  • Gun-Heart – Driven by passion, it unleashes heavy artillery from its chest cannon.

As this project unfolds, it’s worth noting that indie games are on the rise. Statistics from recent industry reports show a growing interest in indie titles, with a surge of135% in funding secured through crowdfunding platforms last year. Indie developers like Valentine play a vital role in this evolution, crafting unique narratives and gameplay experiences.

Keep an eye out for more updates about GUN NOSE, as this exciting project promises to blend mystery, action, and creativity in a vibrant pixelated world.
