Unveiling the Aston Martin Valkyrie: The Ultimate Track-Day Hypercar Inspired by Le Mans

Aston Martin is rolling out a new version of its remarkable Valkyrie, designed specifically for track days. This model, called the Valkyrie LM Hypercar, closely mirrors the race version competing in events like the World Endurance Championship. It shares the same powerful 6.5-liter V12 engine, capable of producing 520 kW (697 bhp).

Adam Carter, who heads endurance motorsport at Aston Martin, notes that the differences between the track version and its racing sibling are minimal. These tweaks make it accessible for owners to enjoy an authentic hypercar experience without the stringent FIA regulations.

To enhance the driving experience, the Valkyrie LM will come equipped with unique cockpit features tailored for track use. Notably, it will also switch from Michelin to Pirelli tires. Aston Martin’s CEO, Adrian Hallmark, emphasizes that this model offers a rare chance to understand the dynamic forces and cutting-edge tech used in high-level motorsport.

The ownership of a Valkyrie LM comes with exclusivity. Only ten will be produced, and owners can join special "Unleashed" track experience events led by Aston Martin. Deliveries begin in mid-2026, ahead of two track days later that year. The estimated price? Around $5 million, not including taxes.

Aston Martin is taking cues from Ferrari’s Clienti events, which have seen significant interest, especially since the launch of their Modificata version of the 499P LMH. In contrast, Ferrari has sold more than 20 units of the Modificata, which features additional performance boosts from a hybrid system.

Expert insights also reveal that exclusive experiences like these are gaining popularity among supercar owners. A recent survey by JD Power showed that affluent buyers desire more immersive experiences with their vehicles. This trend indicates a shift from mere ownership to engaging in thrilling driving adventures.

Aston Martin had initially planned to race the Valkyrie in the WEC but shifted focus due to changes in development. However, learnings from the Valkyrie LMH contributed to the AMR Pro track day car, which laid the foundation for this year’s racing model.
