Unveiling the Exciting 2025 Saint Francis Men’s Soccer Schedule: Don’t Miss a Moment!

Saint Francis men’s soccer head coach Mads Kaiser has shared the exciting 2025 schedule. The Red Flash will kick off with two matches against Power 5 teams and host nine games at the Stokes SoccerPlex.

The season starts on the road against Xavier on August 21. This marks a fresh matchup, as it’s their first encounter with the team. It’s notable that this isn’t the first time Saint Francis has opened against a big conference school; they previously faced teams like Penn State and Michigan State.

“We have a young and eager team, and this schedule aims to challenge us from the start,” Kaiser said. “Each game is a chance for growth and building teamwork.” His intent is to ensure the squad is thoroughly prepared when conference play kicks off.

Fans can look forward to the home opener against St. Bonaventure on August 28. This will be their 25th meeting, and the teams haven’t completed a match in Loretto since 2017 due to weather disruptions.

Next, they’ll hit the road again, meeting Maryland for the first time on September 1. Historically, Saint Francis has seen success against Big 10 teams, winning twice against Penn State and once against West Virginia.

The Red Flash will also face Robert Morris on September 4 in what will be their 39th matchup. Following this, they have a two-game road trip against Loyola and Duquesne.

Bucknell will wrap up the non-conference schedule at home. The Red Flash has enjoyed recent victories over Bucknell, winning the last four encounters.

As they transition into conference play, the team will visit Le Moyne on September 28, followed by home games against Mercyhurst and LIU in October. They will also welcome New Haven, who is joining the NEC this year, for their first competition.

Looking ahead, the Red Flash aims for its fourth consecutive appearance in the NEC Tournament on November 13 and 16. Kaiser emphasized how significant this season is, stating, “It’s a time to honor all those who have contributed to this program’s legacy.” The team aspires for its first NEC Tournament title, having previously reached the championship game multiple times.

According to recent data from NCAA, the competitive landscape for soccer is growing, with more programs aiming for success at the Division I level. This trend underscores the importance of building strong teams and fostering talent, something Saint Francis is committed to achieving.
