There’s a big recall of frozen food products in the U.S., affecting areas like Washington, Oregon, and California. Ajinomoto Foods North America, based in Portland, Oregon, has pulled over 3.3 million pounds of chicken fried rice due to potential glass contamination.
These products were made between September and November 2025. If you have “AJINOMOTO YAKITORI CHICKEN WITH JAPANESE STYLE FRIED RICE” or “TRADER JOE’S CHICKEN FRIED RICE” at home, look for establishment number P-18356 on the packaging.
The recall started after Ajinomoto received four reports of glass found in the food. Fortunately, there have been no injuries linked to the issue so far, but officials are concerned some contaminated bags might still be in people’s freezers.
If you have any of these products, do not eat them. You can throw them away or return them for a full refund. If you think you’ve eaten one, it’s best to contact your healthcare provider.
