David Heaton, CEO of NightOwl, got inspired to bring Dave & Buster’s to Australia during a trip to the US. He described the venue as “loud, flashy, and full of energy,” but also felt a sense of belonging there. This inspiration led to numerous trips and planning over three years, ensuring that the restaurant fits perfectly in its new home.
Interestingly, the Australian market has seen various American restaurant chains making their mark. Recent years have witnessed Chuck E. Cheese launching in Perth and plans for a Bubba Gump Co. to open in Brisbane. Popular burger chains like Wendy’s and Five Guys have also entered the scene, making the Australian food landscape quite diverse.
