New Delhi: The three children of US Vice President JD Vance have charmed many during their recent trip to India. When they landed in Delhi, their traditional Indian outfits quickly caught the attention of social media.
Ewan, age eight, and five-year-old Vivek wore bright yellow and grey kurtas with white pyjamas, while their three-year-old sister, Mirabel, looked adorable in a teal green anarkali suit paired with a jacket. Their fashionable arrival made them instant stars among the photographers at the airport.
Vice President Vance and his wife, Usha, who has Indian roots, were welcomed warmly upon their arrival. Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw greeted them at the airport. Vance looked sharp in a navy blue suit, and Usha chose a striking red long dress with a white blazer.
The family also visited the stunning Akshardham temple, where they posed for pictures, surrounded by the temple’s impressive architecture. Their trip is set to take them to both Jaipur and Agra over the next few days. Later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to host a dinner for the Vance family following discussions with the vice president.
Interestingly, this visit comes just weeks after President Trump had made headlines by imposing a tariff regime affecting about 60 countries, including India. As Vance meets with Indian officials, this visit could influence future relations between the two countries.
In recent years, cultural exchanges like this have grown, with families showcasing their traditions, whether through food, clothing, or festivals. Many social media users have praised the Vance family for embracing Indian culture, highlighting how international ties are often strengthened through these personal interactions.
