Virginia Democrats recently shared a new congressional map proposal aimed at improving their chances in the upcoming midterm elections. The plan could help the party win almost all of Virginia’s congressional districts. In fact, under this proposal, former Vice President Kamala Harris would have captured 10 out of 11 districts in the last election instead of just six.

For context, California also engaged in a similar redistricting effort, managing to draw lines that may help them secure five additional seats. Voters approved that redrawn map last November, and it was recently upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.
