Virginia Woman Arrested in Shocking Hit-and-Run Case Involving Netflix Star: What We Know

A woman from Virginia, Amanda Kempton, is facing charges related to a fatal hit-and-run that took the life of luxury real estate agent Sara Burack. Burack, who was 40 and known for her role in the Netflix series “Million Dollar Beach House,” was found unresponsive on Montauk Highway in the Hamptons early Thursday morning. Sadly, she was later pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Kempton, 32, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death. She pleaded not guilty in court and has since been released on bail. The police stated they received a 911 call about a woman lying unconscious on the road, leading to their swift response.

Burack had an impressive career with Nest Seekers International, where she worked for over ten years. Her role in “Million Dollar Beach House,” which aired in 2020, showcased the competitive nature of real estate in the Hamptons, highlighting Burack’s talent amidst challenges in the industry.

Interestingly, her tragic death has sparked discussions online about road safety and the repercussions of hit-and-run incidents. According to a 2022 report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, hit-and-run fatalities have been rising, with a significant increase in cases over the past decade. This highlights a growing issue that raises awareness and concerns in communities.

As this case unfolds, it reflects a broader conversation about accountability on the roads and the importance of adhering to traffic laws.
