The proposed waste-to-energy project at Vuda Point is still under review, with no decision reached yet. Environment Minister Lynda Tabuya informed Parliament that the assessment is ongoing. She emphasized that discussions or proposals do not equal approvals.

Tabuya noted that the EIA report was submitted in March and open to public review until April 22. The process is moving into the technical review stage, where all submitted opinions and findings will be analyzed. The final decision could lead to approval, conditional approval, or rejection.
