MENOMONIE, Wis. – The Winona State University gymnastics team traveled to UW-Stout for a triangular meet on February 20, facing off against UW-Stout and UW-Oshkosh.

The Warriors put on a strong performance across all events. In the Vault, Gabby Kraft and Jessica Miley both tied for third with a score of 9.725, while Kennedy O’Connor secured first place with a score of 9.825. On the beam, Kraft finished fourth at 9.600, missing third place by just 0.025 points, which went to Jay Ratkowski from UW-Oshkosh.
On the bars, Kaylee Bateman earned sixth place with a score of 9.700. She was just behind a three-way tie for third among UW-Stout gymnasts: Effie Ferguson, Sarah Lutz, and Jamie Beatty. In the floor exercise, Kraft tied with UWO’s Mia Lucero for sixth place, both scoring 9.600. The competition was tight, with some athletes tying for first and fourth place.
Overall, Winona State scored 189.900 points, trailing behind UW-Stout with 191.900 and UW-Oshkosh with 191.150.
The Warriors will be back in action next week on February 27 in Oshkosh, where they will compete against UW-Oshkosh, UW-La Crosse, and Greenville. The grand march is set to begin at 6 p.m.
