NEW DELHI: As India and Australia gear up for the fifth and closing Test of the continued Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the Sydney Cricket Ground From Friday, the pitch curator gave an replace on how the monitor is shaping up.
On Wednesday, the official Sydney Cricket Ground shared a video by which the curator Adam Lewis says, “So we’re two days out now, getting to the final stages of the prep.We’ve taken the covers off this morning, given it a cut about 7mm and giving it’s a nice roll today, nice pressing, really happy where it’s at.”
Lewis continues, “Giving it a little flick of water, it’s very hot in Sydney today, so we’ll just keep the moisture there just at the top. And then tomorrow, we’ll do a little bit more heavier rolling, take a little bit of the color out, then we should be ready to go for the third (morning).”
With Australia holding a 2-1 collection lead, India now have to win the Sydney Test to attract degree and retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
