Zendaya and Robert Pattinson star in the upcoming A24 film “The Drama,” directed by Kristoffer Borgli. The first trailer shows them as an engaged couple facing some challenges.
This film marks Borgli’s fourth project and his second in English. His previous work includes “Dream Scenario,” featuring Nicolas Cage, which was released by A24 in 2023. Alongside Zendaya and Pattinson, the cast includes Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, and Hailey Gates.
“The Drama” hits theaters on April 3, and it’s just the beginning for Zendaya and Pattinson in 2024. They will also appear together in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” set for release on July 17. Zendaya will portray Athena, the Greek goddess, while Pattinson plays Antinous, a suitor from Ithaca.
Later, they will reunite again in “Dune: Part Three,” which comes out on December 18, 2026. Zendaya reprises her role as Chani, and Pattinson is rumored to play Scytale, a character featured in Frank Herbert’s “Dune: Messiah.”
Pattinson was recently seen in “Die My Love,” directed by Lynne Ramsay, alongside Jennifer Lawrence. Zendaya’s latest film is “Challengers” by Luca Guadagnino, where she works with Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor. Fans can also expect her return in HBO’s “Euphoria,” where she plays Rue, a role that earned her two Emmys. Moreover, she’ll be back in theaters in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on July 31.
With two Superstars at the helm, “The Drama” looks to capture audiences with a mix of talent and storytelling. It offers a fresh exploration of modern relationships and personal strife, making it a highly anticipated film.
