Way-Too-Early NFL Power Rankings: Are the Eagles on Track to Become the Next Dynasty?

The NFL has a rich history of dynasties. From the Green Bay Packers in the 1960s to the Steelers in the 1970s, and then the 49ers in the 1980s, dynasties have shaped the league. The 1990s brought us the Cowboys, followed by the Patriots dominating the early 21st century.

Now, the Kansas City Chiefs are carrying the torch. They’ve reached five Super Bowls in six seasons, winning three. Recently, they faced the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, a game where the Eagles truly showed their strength.

The Eagles dominated the Chiefs, winning 40-22. Over the last three seasons, they’ve nearly clinched two Super Bowls. After a shaky end to one season, they bounced back, winning 16 of their last 17 games to bag a championship. Despite a tough patch to finish 2023 and start 2024, they’ve proven to be a tough team to beat.

The future looks bright for the Eagles. They have some key free agents like linebacker Zack Baun and edge rusher Josh Sweat, but their strong draft picks have built depth. Most of this young and talented roster will return next season, making them a formidable force.

Super Bowl LIX showcased one of the best team performances we’ve seen. We might see this Eagles core back at the Super Bowl in the future.

As we move into the offseason, here’s a quick look at the power rankings for the NFL.
