Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sharply criticized Congress governments for amending the Constitution. He said that in the final six many years the Congress authorities modified the Constitution 75 occasions. However, PM Modi also admitted that amendments have been made in the Constitution throughout his authorities also.
PM Modi said, “Earlier Pandit Nehru had his own Constitution and hence he did not follow the advice of senior dignitaries. The Constitution was changed 75 times in nearly six decades. He said, “Misusing the Constitution and destroying its soul is the duty of the Congress.” Has been part of the DNA. For us the Constitution, its sanctity and its integrity are of the greatest importance. All this is not just in words. Whenever we were put to the test, it was found that we are people who have achieved penance.”
He said that BJP led governments have also made constitutional amendments but they had been for the unity, integrity and brilliant future of the nation. He said, “We have amended the Constitution with full devotion to the spirit of the Constitution.”
‘Became Prime Minister for the third time as a result of of the Constitution’
Prime Minister Modi said, “This achievement of 75 years is extraordinary. When the country became independent, the Constitution of India brought us here by canceling and defeating all the possibilities that were expressed for India at that time. Respectful salute to the makers of the Constitution as well as millions of citizens of the country for this great achievement.”
PM Modi said that it’s the reward of the Constitution that he was given the alternative to serve the nation as Prime Minister for three consecutive occasions. He said that there have been many ups and downs in this journey but the individuals of the nation at all times stood with the Constitution.
