WELLINGTON, Fla. – January 14, 2025 – Wellington Lifestyle Partners (WLP) is growing! The company now includes the Wellington International Equestrian Showgrounds and a new residential community called The Wellington, created with NEXUS Luxury Collection.
One of their notable investors is Jeff Skoll, a former eBay president. He’s not just a businessman; he’s also into philanthropy and supports Olympic-level riders in Wellington. Along with him, long-time Wellington resident Michael Smith has joined as a shareholder. Smith is a retired businessman and an avid horse owner, known for his involvement in high-level equestrian events.
Mark Bellissimo, another key figure at WLP, expressed excitement about the new investments. He believes these changes will help elevate Wellington as a top choice for equestrian living.
The Wellington is a vast 400-acre luxury community that will feature 253 homes, championship golf, and many sports and wellness facilities. Home styles will vary, including estate homes, equestrian villas, townhomes, luxury condos, and large equestrian farm estates.
A renowned golf architect, David McLay Kidd, is designing the golf course. He’s famous for creating courses at Bandon Dunes and Mammoth Dunes. The overall master plan is in the hands of Workshop/APD, a New York-based design firm celebrated for its high-end projects around the world.
This month, WLP will kick off a Founder’s program for families eager to join The Wellington community. The company plans to release its real estate options gradually.
In addition to The Wellington, WLP owns the Wanderers Club and other land in the Village of Wellington, including the equestrian showgrounds that host major horse events.
All shareholders are committed to making Wellington a top-tier destination for equestrian sports. They aim to create a vibrant lifestyle community that enhances Wellington’s status in the horse sport world.
