A Texas judge recently awarded $6.6 million to four former aides of Ken Paxton, the state attorney general. They claimed they were fired unfairly after reporting his alleged corruption in 2020. The judge, Catherine Mauzy, found that their dismissal violated Texas’s whistle-blower law.
