One major finding is that roll cancels won’t be allowed in the online ranked mode of Capcom vs. SNK 2. This is significant because roll cancels have always been crucial in high-level gameplay, allowing players to cancel their roll into a powerful move with invincibility frames.

While these roll cancels can still be used in offline modes, their removal from the ranked mode is a decision that has many players talking. The ranked version of CvS2 in this collection is based on a later release called EO, which altered several aspects, including the removal of roll cancels.
