As we gear up for another iPhone release, excitement is buzzing over the upcoming iPhone 18 lineup. Leaks suggest this new range may make it tricky for users to decide on their next upgrade.
Traditionally, Apple released four new iPhones each year: two standard models and two Pro versions. However, next fall, they may shake things up a bit with just three models:

After that, in spring 2027, three more models are expected:

For some, choosing an iPhone used to be simple: Standard or Pro? Regular size or Plus? But with the Air’s arrival, things are more complex. As someone who typically opts for Pro models, I found myself drawn to the Air this year.

This could make even loyal Pro users rethink their choices.
This mid-stream change could be risky for Apple, which has relied on a straightforward model lineup for years. Some might miss the clear-cut options of the past. Yet, this shift may force users to consider their needs more carefully when choosing a new phone.
