Today, OnePlus announced the Watch 3, and it’s creating quite a buzz. This new watch improves on the OnePlus Watch 2 and 2R, featuring a larger battery that lasts about five days with normal use and up to three days with heavy use.

However, there’s a downside. The Watch 3 includes ECG readings, but this feature won’t be available in the US and Canada. OnePlus hasn’t secured the necessary FDA certification for this capability.
This means users in those countries will miss out on the ECG Analyzer. Instead, they will get a modified version of the new 60-Second Health Check-In feature. This version will launch in the second quarter of this year, between April and June.
OnePlus has confirmed this information. It’s disappointing that the ECG feature is limited, but at least they are transparent about it on the first day of pre-orders. This allows buyers to make an informed choice.
Speaking of pre-orders, the OnePlus Watch 3 is now available, priced at $329 / €349 / £319. Shipping will begin on February 25 in some regions and in early March in others. Some local OnePlus sites may offer additional discounts for pre-orders.
