With a spirited performance in the second half, the Wildcats displayed glimpses of their potential. They closed the game with a touchdown pass from Theuerkauf to Boyea, underscoring the team’s ability to rally, even in tough situations.

Northern Michigan is now 0-5 overall and 0-2 in GLIAC play. Meanwhile, Saginaw improved to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference. The Wildcats will next host the Grand Valley State Lakers on October 11 at 7 PM, coinciding with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of NMU’s 1975 National Championship.
