Wilkes University Honors Professor Emeritus with Naming of College of Arts and Sciences Following Historic Donation

Wilkes University has made headlines by receiving its largest single donation ever. The gift comes from Bing K. Wong, PhD, a retired professor of mathematics who has deep ties to the university.

Dr. Wong began his journey at Wilkes in 1968 when he was appointed as the chair of the mathematics department. After dedicating many years to the university, he retired in 2004, but his love for Wilkes remains strong. “I want to leave a legacy at the institution I love,” he shared.

This historic gift will lead to the renaming of the College of Arts and Sciences to the Bing K. Wong College of Arts and Sciences this fall.
