Wright State University Earns Global Recognition: Ranked Among the World’s Top Universities for the Third Year Running!

Wright State University made headlines by ranking in the top 6.7% of over 21,000 universities worldwide according to the 2025 Global 2000 list by the Center for World University Rankings. In the U.S., it placed 255th among 319 universities.

Susan Schaurer, the vice president for enrollment management, expressed pride in this recognition. She highlighted the university’s affordable tuition and commitment to student success, which draw learners from Ohio and beyond, including over 1,500 international students.

The Center for World University Rankings offers a unique approach. Their rankings are based on objective data rather than surveys. They evaluate four main areas: education, employability, faculty achievements, and research output. These pillars consider factors like alumni success relative to university size, faculty awards, and the quantity and impact of published research.

This year, the rankings utilized 74 million data points, balancing student and faculty indicators.

These results showcase Wright State’s global impact and academic strength. Such recognitions are essential in today’s competitive education landscape. Many students and parents explore these rankings when choosing universities, making them a vital part of the decision-making process.
