In several counties of Indiana, free food distributions are happening soon. The cities involved include Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall, St. Joseph, and Starke. Keep an eye out for turkey distribution dates—those will be revealed on November 9, 2025.

• La Porte County: On November 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., food will be available at the LaCrosse Apostolic Christian Church, located at 508 Mill St, LaCrosse, IN 46348. Sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless, it aims to assist 150 households.
• Starke County: Two distributions are scheduled. The first is on November 13, 2025, at the Starke County Fairgrounds (400 Division St., Hamlet, IN 46532). The second will be on November 20, 2025, at San Pierre Town Park (201 Eliza St., San Pierre, IN 46374). Both events run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will serve 200 households each. Sponsors include the Starke County Community Foundation, Starke County Health Department, and United Way of Northwest Indiana.

All food items are free and will be pre-boxed for quick distribution. It’s first come, first served, so make sure to arrive early if you need assistance. Each household can receive one box or bag.

The process is simple—stay in your car and open your trunk to receive items. If your trunk doesn’t open, there will be a self-loading area available.
