Here are my picks for the NFL Divisional Round. Remember, the team logos show who I think will win, not necessarily cover the spread.
Bills at Broncos (-1.5): The Broncos have been impressive with their defense this season, leading the NFL with 68 sacks. They’ve managed to pressure quarterbacks while protecting their own, which is a big deal. But when it comes to playoff experience, I can’t overlook Josh Allen over Bo Nix. Allen has played 15 playoff games and has shown he can handle pressure. In his playoff career, he has 26 touchdowns, only 4 interceptions, and has rushed for 9 touchdowns. His recent performance against the Jaguars backs up his credentials. I’m going with the Bills here.
49ers at Seahawks (-7): Last time these teams met, the Seahawks overwhelmed the 49ers in a 13-3 win. The Seahawks have a strong run game and a tough defense. Unfortunately, the Niners are dealing with injuries, losing key players. The Seahawks are well-rested while the Niners are coming off a tough game. I believe the Seahawks will win, but the Niners might cover the spread.
Texans at Patriots (-3): The Texans have a solid defense but struggle with their rushing attack. C.J. Stroud can be inconsistent, making it hard to trust them. On the other hand, the Patriots have some effective offensive plays, especially with Drake Maye’s versatility in tough conditions. With this matchup, I like the Patriots to win but think the Texans can keep it close.
Rams (-3.5) at Bears: The Bears have had some thrilling come-from-behind wins this season, but those victories have often come against weaker teams. I believe the Rams will capitalize on this. They have a more seasoned quarterback in Matthew Stafford, who can handle the bad weather better than Caleb Williams. This game will likely be close, but I expect the Rams to pull through.
This weekend will be challenging as I aim to improve my season record. The competition is fierce, and I’ll need to deliver strong picks to stay in the hunt.
